Largest of the continents, Asia is home to over 40 nations. The landmass is so large, it is made up of subcontinents: India, Arabia and Indochina. Separated by high mountain ranges, deserts, rivers and seas, its diverse cultures and ethnic groups developed in isolation from one another, leading to distinctly different cultures and languages.
